Custom Log Home Kits

With over a century of combined experience as home builders in the manufacture of premier log homes and log commercial buildings, we know how to design quality log construction. About ninety-percent of our log home kits are custom designed, or you can choose from over 21 specialized log home floor plans. We adjust for settlement and build for appearance, strength, and protection from the elements. We constantly strive to improve the design and engineering of our homes to keep the cost down for the consumer and to produce the finest log homes money can buy. 

We manufacture a lathe turned, Swedish cope, tongue and grooved round log in our log home kits. As an option for the home builder, we also supply this log with a flat interior for your log home. The logs are spiked, and we use a "Tee" bolt that connects all the courses of the logs at each corner, making for a very strong construction. Because each log end is covered by another log using a saddle notch corner, there is no place for water to stand and soak.

Our polyurethane caulking sealant is also an adhesive, so the logs in our log home kits and custom built log homes are actually glued together. Home builders agree that the adherence, coherence, and flexibility are unbeatable.

Home builders appreciate that we plan the seasoning process for your log home slowly and naturally to avoid stuck doors and windows and spaces between logs over time. For single level log home kits, we use clean span trusses supported by log walls so that partition walls are not load bearing. For log homes with a second level, we often use a post and girder system with an adjustment device at each post.

Technology makes tedious calculations easy for the home builder in our log homes and log home kits. We use technology to calculate the stresses and deflections of each beam and to size beams to almost any span. We routinely send such figures to building inspection departments and lending institutions, and we use computer assisted drafting and design (CADD) to minimize potential mistakes during construction.
